About

The company has over 25 years experience of BSL interpreting combined with 30 years' performance experience, and 12 years' research into Audiovisual Translation (AVT). We provide specialist training for BSL interpreters, particularly for those working in audiovisual domains. Through our commitment to research and development, we strive to improve and advance the practice of English/BSL interpreting in every setting.

Given the complexity of the task facing the sign language interpreter, particularly in AVT, we argue that a paradigm shift in the characterisation and status of sign language interpreting is urgently needed, and we constantly support the need for further research not only into working practices but also the supporting theoretical frameworks.
