'The Maids'

Saturday 1st December 2018, 2:00pm, at HOME Manchester.

Jan Guest will be interpreting Lily Sykes' radical telling of Jean Genet’s infamous The Maids.

Keeping with the theme of radical, for the first time in HOME history theyve ripped out the seats in the Theatre 1 space and built a brand-new, in-the-round auditorium. You will be able to watch from both on and off the stage in a specially built seating area.

Siobhán's paper 'Sign Language Interpreting, pragmatics and theatre translation' will be published in Routledge Handbook - Translation and Pragmatics and is currently in-press.

Siobhán Rocks's entry on 'Theatre Interpreting' is now available in the Routledge Encyclopedia of Interpreting Studies, edited by Franz Pöchhacker, on the 8th October 2015.
